Privacy Policy
Effective October 1, 2026 — Qovend, United States
1. Introduction
Qovend ("we", "us", or "our") operates an online multi-vendor marketplace. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights over it. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described here.
We are committed to handling your data with transparency and in compliance with applicable data protection principles.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account & Registration Data
- Full name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Phone number and delivery address(es) when you add them to your profile.
- Business name, bank account details, a government-issued photo ID, and a business license or EIN letter for sellers during onboarding.
2.2 Transaction Data
- Order details: items purchased, quantities, prices, and order status.
- Payment information: transaction IDs and payment method type. We do not store card numbers — payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe.
- Shipping address and delivery history.
2.3 Usage Data
- Products you view, search queries, wishlist items, and pages visited.
- Device type, browser, IP address, and approximate location (country/city).
- Session duration and click paths to help us improve the platform.
2.4 Cookies & Similar Technologies
- Session cookies to keep you logged in.
- Preference cookies to remember your settings, such as filters.
- Analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns.
- Advertising pixels: sellers may enable Meta, Google Ads or TikTok tracking on their own storefront pages to measure their ads. These run only on that seller's pages, and only when the seller has switched them on. You can opt out at any time (see Section 7).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account, process orders, and facilitate delivery.
- To share relevant order details with the seller(s) fulfilling your purchase (name, shipping address, and order contents only — never your payment credentials).
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and service notifications via email.
- To calculate loyalty points, apply coupons, and personalize your shopping experience.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized account access.
- To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data so we can improve the platform.
- To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data for money. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- With sellers: your name, shipping address, and order contents are shared with the seller(s) fulfilling your order. Sellers are contractually prohibited from using this data for any purpose other than order fulfillment.
- With advertising platforms: when a seller has turned on Meta, Google Ads or TikTok tracking, those companies receive what you viewed and bought on that seller's pages (and, for purchases, a one-way hash of your email address) so the seller can measure their ads. Some state laws call this a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; you can opt out, as Section 7 explains.
- With payment processors: Stripe receives payment data to complete transactions. Their privacy policy governs how they handle that data.
- With delivery partners: shipping address and contact details may be shared with courier services to complete delivery.
- With legal authorities: we will disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
- In a business transfer: if Qovend is acquired or merges with another entity, user data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 2 years after closure to resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations.
- Order and transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
- Usage and analytics data is retained in anonymized, aggregated form indefinitely.
- You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 6). Legal retention obligations may prevent full deletion of some records.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data via your account settings.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from marketing emails) at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@qovend.local. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
7. Your US State Privacy Rights
Residents of California and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon) have these additional rights:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, where it comes from, why we use it, and whom we disclose it to, and to get a copy of it.
- Right to delete, and right to correct inaccurate, personal information, subject to the legal exceptions described in Section 5.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising. Use the switch on our Your Privacy Choices page (/privacy-choices); when you're signed in, your choice is saved to your account and applies on every device. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid opt-out, with nothing more for you to do.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. The only sensitive information we collect is sellers' government-issued ID and bank account details, which we use solely to verify sellers and pay them.
- Right not to be discriminated against: exercising any of these rights never changes the prices you pay or the service you receive.
The categories of personal information we collect are those in Section 2: identifiers and contact details, commercial information (orders), internet activity on our site, approximate location, and, for sellers, financial and identity documents. In the past 12 months, the only "sale" or "sharing" has been to the advertising platforms described in Section 4, and only on the pages of sellers who enabled them. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
To make a request to know, delete or correct, email support@qovend.local with "Privacy" in the subject line, or have an authorized agent do so on your behalf. We will verify your identity by confirming details of your account, and respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will answer the appeal within the time your state's law allows.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.
9. Children's Privacy
Qovend is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
